CHILDREN'S SUMMER CAMP
Martial Art, many other sports and quality quiet times.
This is not regular summer camp. We teach concentration, self control and respect.
Plus you child will have FUN, FUN, FUN!
Campers wear uniforms easing wardrobe and laundry concerns.

Our Day Camp Program could be just the ticket this summer.
No other Day Camp offers all these benefits:

Drop your children off on the way to work and pick them up on the way home.
Camp includes 2 trips to Carowinds a week, barring inclement weather. Parents buy a season pass.

$25 per week reservation Fee and $12 Camp T-Shirt fee is required to save your spot.
Dates for the 10 weeks and three days of 2011 Summer Camp are:
- June 13-17, 20-24, 27-July 1
- July 5-8, 11-15, 18-22, 25-29
- August 1-5, 8-12, 15-19, 22-24
The summer camp schedule is based on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools vacation plan.
Day Camp Sample Schedule: (Activities will vary daily and times may also vary somewhat.)
EVERY DAY: STUDENT MUST BRING LUNCH.
TUESDAYS: STUDENT MUST BRING A BATHING SUIT AND FOOTWEAR.
WEDNESDAYS: STUDENT MUST BRING SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR LEVEL.
THURSDAYS: STUDENT MUST BRING A CAMP T-SHIRT, SHORTS AND SNEAKERS.
DROP-OFF: 7:30-8:45 am - After 9:00 am there is a late charge for children not yet dropped off.
PICK-UP: 5:00-5:45 pm - After 6:00 pm there is a late charge for children not yet picked up.

We divide campers by ages to play quiet activities ("Centers") such as:
puzzles, board games, arts & crafts, dramatic play or numbers.
Some parents send reading materials or summer homework for their child.

Camp begins; we stress the 'point system' to improve behavior; rules and regulations,
good sportsmanship and teamwork. We divide campers into teams for physical activities including:
basketball, dodge ball, relay races and obstacle courses and other fun games.

Snack Time! Parents may establish a snack account to buy healthy snacks from the Academy for $.50 each.
We provide a piece of fruit instead of junk food. Parents may instead send a couple of snacks with their child’s lunch.
No sugar or high fructose corn syrup, please!

To prepare for Field Trips, campers change clothes at Academy and apply sunscreen if outdoor field trip.
We assign bus seats for campers and staff.
Field Trips include: Swimming every week, Bowling, Soccer, Miniature Golf, Park Road Park, Carowinds Amusement Park,
Hip-Hop Dance & Gymnastics. On swimming days, campers don’t change out of swim suits until they return to the Academy.
